Vitamin B5 Acne Treatment

According to recent studies conducted, vitamin B5 can be an excellent acne treatment. What is vitamin B5 and how can it work as an acne cure? The vitamin B5 acne treatment uses very high doses of pantothenic acid in order to create higher levels of coenzyme-A. Coenzyme-A is used by the body during fat metabolism, as well as hormone secretion. The basic gist of the vitamin B5 acne treatment is based on the fact that many acne sufferers have low levels of coenzyme-A. The curious thing about this enzyme is that if it is not available in sufficient amounts, the body will stop fat metabolism in order to use coenzyme-A for hormone secretion in the body.

What does this mean? Basically, when fat metabolism slows or stops, high levels of fats will be stored in skin cells. This creates a stronger production of sebum, which blocks skin pores, trapping bacteria inside them and creating acne. The vitamin B5 acne treatment is capable of reversing this trend. However, you will have to take very high doses of pantothenic acid to increase the levels of coenzyme-A within your body.According to the vitamin B5 acne treatment, you will need to take 10 grams (not milligrams) per day. That's quite a bit of the vitamin. As a note, you should never start off with that amount directly. Some rather unpleasant side effects (covered below) can occur. You must give your body a chance to acclimate to the increased B5 levels. Start with a lower dosage for 3 days and then increase it to 10 grams for this acne cure to work. In addition, you must consume the required dosage for at least three months; you may experience mild results initially, but after three months your body will have enough coenzyme-A for both fat metabolism and hormone secretion.

After the three-month period, you should continue taking vitamin B5 for acne treatment, but you can reduce your intake by a significant amount. In fact, a regular multivitamin should contain sufficient quantities for your acne to remain in remission.

What are the side effects of the vitamin B5 acne treatment? The most common side effect seems to be an upset stomach, followed by diarrhea. These can be eliminated or reduced by taking your B5 with a meal. Giving your stomach something to digest will help relieve any discomfort. Other side effects of the vitamin B5 acne treatment include bloating, gas, chapped lips and slow healing wounds. Some users have reported lower energy, but that is usually only during the initial part of the treatment.

The vitamin B5 acne treatment is best conducted with capsules. You can find these readily available through most drug stores and grocery stores, though you can also purchase them through health food stores and online retailers. Ensure that the capsules you purchase are pure and contain very low amounts of fillers and no chemicals in order to achieve the acne cure that you need.

Finally, you should also include several other B vitamins in your regimen to get the best effects. For instance, vitamin B6 helps improve the function of your immune system, enabling it to destroy bacteria more easily. Vitamin B12 helps amplify the effects of all other B vitamins and improves skin tone. Folic acid is an essential addition to any diet and helps improve the production of red blood cells, new skin cells and fights abnormalities in skin.
