TEA TREE OIL

Tea tree oil has been used since the 1700's. It was discovered for its healing properties in 1925 by Dr. Arthur Penfold a chemist working for the Australian Government for the state of New South Wales. He announced after a systematic study that tea tree oil's antiseptic and bactericidal properties were stronger than those of carbolic acid which was what was used at that time. Dr. Arthur Penfold also studied and found that only one type of tea tree oil contained the perfect concentration of antibacterial substances, namely, the one grown in the wetlands and swamps of Bungawalbyn, in the north of South Wales. The best tea tree oil still comes from there.

Tea Tree Oil For Acne

Tea Tree Oil is a natural remedy used for treating skin problems, acne being one of them! Studies have shown that Tea Tree Oil works for acne. You should be careful when purchasing Tea Tree Oil because some marketed brands contain diluted formulas. If you are looking to buy Tea Tree Oil make sure you know the exact contents. To find out what to look for please click Tea Tree Oil products. Here you will find what ingredients to look for before making a purchase. Due to the high demand many distributors dilute Tea Tree Oil then sell it to the uneducated consumer.

If you have read my other pages on what causes acne then you will know that acne is caused by several things one being bacteria which builds up in the pores of the skin causing clogged pores. The effectiveness of tea tree oil when administered correctly on the skin is due because the skin absorbs the tea tree oil into the layers of the skin. What does that mean for you? Well, here's the deal; tea tree oil has anti-bacterial agents which kills the bacteria that resides in the layers of your skin.

There are many uses of tea tree oil besides acne treatment. I will mention other uses later in this site but for now let's get rid of acne first!
